|DUE TO UNFORTUNATE, MISLEADING AND IRRESPONSIBLE ACTIONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL BY SOME
IN MEDIA AND THE COMMUNITY, UNITY COALICION | COALICION UNIDA WILL NOT BE ISSUING
POLITICAL RECOMMENDATIONS IN ANY LOCAL RACE FOR NOVEMBER 2011 ELECTIONS.
We value our process, take the highest of respect & care to ensure total transparency
and professionalism in our political recommendations since 2002,
but unfortunately this year our process was violated and compromised by misinformation put out
prematurely and irresponsibly by others, and therefore we feel we have no choice but to
NOT ISSUE ANY POLITICAL RECOMMENDATIONS for the 2011 elections at this time.
Thank you for your time and attention. We wish all the candidates in the City of Miami, Miami Beach, Hialeah,
Miami Lakes & beyond - the best of luck.
Voters mailed false information once again, dividing our community and presenting less than
ethical candidates for district 2
Miami , Florida…October 26, 2011… The political lies and smears have once again found themselves into City of Miami's District 2
campaign, and the only losers in this race will be the citizens of Miami.
Unity Coalition|Coalicion (UC|CU) Unida a South Florida non-profit offering Leadership, Protection & Promotion of Latino|Hispanic
LGBTQ rights (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning) - The only organization of its kind in South Florida since 2002, was the
target of a smear mailer arriving today in voters mailboxes, suggesting that UC|CU issued endorsements in this campaign and
suggesting that there has been inapropriate dealings by one of our own board members. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE
TRUTH. On September 1, 2011 our board met with the 3 candidates in district 2 that responded to our publically available questionnaire -
Donna Milo, Kate Callahan, Michelle M. Neimeyer. Our board discussed & considered endorsements, but chose NOT to issue any
endorsements in any campaign this election cycle.
Unfortunately a mailer was produced quoting a questionable and unreliable blogger with a personal and very public history of attacks
& false statements, and said flyer sent out with information that was never and is not currently correct or true. Quite simply, Unity
Coalition|Coalicion Unida at no time issued any endorsement for District 2 commission seat. We call for honest, factual & clean
campaigining from all candidates, and wish all much success.
