ABOUT THE ARCHITECTS, DESIGNERS & ARTISTS...
Patrick Kennedy is a man of many talents who continually thinks outside the box. His mind plays visually on projects
regardless the perimeters, with each aspect up for grabs.
Prior to moving from Manhattan to Miami Beach in 1992, he was a serious painter with shows in Los Angeles, San
Francisco and New York. As his paintings became more and more three-dimensional, he was commissioned to design
cutting edge NY showrooms for clients ranging from Yves St. Laurent to Joe Boxer, from Cartier to Kenneth Cole and
residences ranging from Saul Steinberg’s art-filled penthouse on Fifth Avenue to Jean Michel Basquiat’s hovel in the
East Village.
In Miami Beach he has stamped his signature on 12 hotels, 15 restaurants, 5 clubs and lounges and an extensive
list of private residences.
His awards include the American Institute of Architects, American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Academy of
Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Miami Design Preservation League.  He is currently designing and writing
in Miami Beach.

William Lane, A.I.A., NCARB, LEED AP, Principal
After graduating with a degree in architecture Mr. Lane spent the following three years working in the office of I.M. Pei
and Partners in New York. Projects that he worked on included the Addition to the Louvre in Paris, France, as well as,
the Northeast Headquarters for IBM in Somers, NY. Following an Artist in Residency at the Fundacion Altos de Chavon,
Dominican Republic, William Lane opened a base of operations in the US Virgin Islands in 1987, where he designed
and built several resort and residential projects. In 1992, William Lane Architect moved to its current location in Miami
Beach, FL. The diverse body of work designed by the firm include single and multiple family residences, parks,
restaurants, hotels, mass transportation infill components, office buildings, retail spaces, and civic structures. The firm
has been featured in several national design publications and has been awarded on three occasions for exemplary
performance in design from the AIA. The recently completed visitor’s pavilion and vehicular facility for South Pointe
Park in Miami Beach was distinguished with one of two Honor Awards of Excellence for Built Work by the AIA Florida in
2009.

Arthur Marcus is an Architect based in Miami Beach. His latest project - now in construction is the Villa Matti - a six
story H.U.D. financed rental apartment building for senior citizens also in Miami Beach. The design is inspired by its
deco surroundings yet with a contemporary edge.
Recently he also self-published a book of his photographs and stories entitled; " a rider in darkness in flashes of light
which is available at www.blurb.com under photography books.

Throughout his long career as a Designer and Brand professional, Mr. Peter Page has deftly integrated an
understanding and respect for history with the needs of the present. Combining roles as historian, preservationist and
cutting-edge designer, Page has received accolades and recognition for projects in London, Paris, Rome, Bangkok,
Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco and Miami. Page passed away in 2011.

Born & educated in New York during the Depression. Anita Priest overcame many obstacles in her life and was one of
the first women to volunteer and join our country’s Women’s Army Corp. She served four years as an Officer in the
WACS during WW11.
Her flair for design came from her grandfather who designed costumes for the famous Flo Ziegfeld, her Mother
modeled his creations. Besides teaching at her own school she also taught at Miami-Dade Community College, Florida
Atlantic University and the University of Miami.
Her thriving design career spanned over forty years. She created many memorable and prestigious spaces, private
homes, famous restaurants, clubs and condominiums including models for local well known builders.
When she retired she continued to lecture at various institutions and was a frequent guest lecturer for Cunard
Steamship Line. Anita’s amazing zest for life came to an end in 2008.

Born in Argentina, the uniquely-talented, Miami Beach based HAVI has over 20 years of combined experience as
an artist, architect, interior and graphic designer. His vision of art is reflected in a poetic way as his brushstrokes
capture people’s feelings and emotions. His architectural background is clearly embedded in his work. In the
difficult-to-accomplish simplicity of his paintings, he skillfully combines rigid and structured forms without losing the
organic character of his art. His creations complement each other in a subtle way.
He has held several positions as an Architect,  Commissioner of Architecture in Sauce Viejo City Hall and
Professor at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Argentina. He received an Architectural degree, and a Master in
Color, Audio-Visual Media, and Conceptual Art from the National University of Litoral, Argentina. He has also
studied photography, digital video, acting, costume, and set design.
HAVI’s art has been widely exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions in Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia,
United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Australia and the United States.

My art work is motivated by my interest in establishing a dialogue relevant to contemporary social problems. In
general, I am most interested in how visual strategies can be used to communicate the result of my personal and
professional search in a society in which themes such as violence, inequality, cultural identity, and gender roles
need to be addressed. Right now, my biggest challenge is to merge my artistic and anthropological interests in a
work that flows bidirectionally, and to become a well articulated artist who dominates the skills necessary to produce
artwork worth drawing the attention of those interested in the social phenomena.

Fourteen is a clothing line of ready to wear suits and accessories especially for  lesbian, queer, and trans weddings and
events.  Our mission is to be the leader in design and manufacturing of clothes for women, androgynous, queer and
trans persons who do not identify with the traditional design of female clothing or the cut and fit of men’s clothing.  All
of our clothes are proudly made in the USA of the finest available fabrics.
Fourteen is also powerful number in civil rights history. It was the number of individual plaintiffs in the case that
first legalized gay marriage in Massachusetts. We believe that same-sex marriage is a fundamental right
under the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause, which was used to dismantle segregation and end the
ban on interracial marriage. We believe that these individual stories – and your stories – are the stories that
change the world.

LOVE is LOVE | Marriage Equality Poster by Marcelo Holzinger
LOVE is LOVE | Marriage Equality Poster by Marcelo Holzinger
UNITY COALITION|COALICION UNIDA and artist MARCELO
HOLZINGER join forces to proclaim LOVE is LOVE,
benefiting MARRIAGE EQUALITY

Miami, Florida… Being in a committed relationship but not
being able to legally marry here is what inspired artist
MARCELO HOLZINGER to join forces with Unity
Coalition|Coalicion Unida (UC|CU’s) in our ongoing efforts
towards Marriage Equality. Holzinger has created and
donated an original piece of art entitled LOVE is LOVE, as
well as limited edition, signed posters for purchase and
collection.
Sales from this image will go towards UC|CU’s ongoing
campaign to bring awareness to bi-national couples,
immigration issues and the need for Marriage Equality for
the LGBT community.
Holzinger has over 20 years of combined experience as an
artist, graphic designer and interior decorator.  He began
cultivating his artistic talents at a young age – he was
naturally drawn to beauty, nature, art, and music. Marcelo
states: “I feel like I was born loving beauty.  I have always
been attracted to art, and it's always been a part of who I
am.” Holzinger sees Miami as a city whose colors, flavors
and energy spark his creativity. He's been working non-stop
on various artistic endeavors and his work continues to be
exhibited in galleries and prestigious art fairs. LOVE is
LOVE expresses his innermost feelings about Love,
Marriage and Commitment, as well as an explosion of
Color, Passion and all that is Miami!
UC|CU director Herb Sosa is equally as passionate about
Marriage Equality and Marcelo’s amazing artwork. “The
Right to LOVE, Right to EQUALITY, Right to have a FAMILY.
Values and rights we all believe in.  Values many of our
LGBT brothers and sisters legally do not have, because of
who they love” said Sosa.   “Marcelo’s LOVE is LOVE image
is the PERFECT image for UC|CU to get this message of
Love and Marriage Equality to all, and a perfect fit for our
ongoing, multi-layered campaign. We will not rest until ALL
Americans have the right to marry who they choose.  I can’t
wait to have my own limited edition Holzinger poster
hanging proudly on my wall.”
